Kite Safari Egypt Red Sea: 7 Days of Pure Wind
The Egypt Red Sea is one of the world's premier kite destinations — reliable north wind blowing 20–30 knots from November through April, flat water lagoons sheltered behind barrier reefs, and warm water that stays above 22°C all year. A live-aboard kite safari is the ultimate way to experience it: wake up at a new spot every morning, ride five different locations in seven days, and return home with more riding hours than most people accumulate in a season.
Why the Egypt Red Sea?
Egypt offers a unique combination: thermal wind driven by desert heat pressure against Mediterranean air means the wind turns on like a switch — typically 11am to sunset, 25+ knots, six days out of seven during peak season. The water is flat inside every lagoon because reefs block the ocean swell. This combination — powerful consistent wind plus flat water — is why kitesurfers travel from Europe, Russia and Australia to ride here. No other accessible destination matches it for reliability or quality.
The Galaxy 720 Catamaran
The Galaxy 720 is a 22-metre luxury catamaran purpose-built for kite safaris. She carries ten riders plus a crew of four: captain, chef, kite guide and deckhand. Each rider has a private or shared cabin with ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and charging points. The main deck has a shaded lounge and dining area. A hydraulic rear platform launches directly into the water for easy gear rigging and entry. The chef prepares three meals per day plus snacks — Egyptian, Mediterranean and international cuisine sourced fresh at each port.
