How We
Teach
Our wing foil teaching follows the IWO (International Wing Organisation) progressive method. We start on land with wing handling drills before moving to the water. No rushing, no skipping steps.
We begin on large, stable beginner boards in the shallow lagoon. As you gain confidence we progress to smaller boards and work towards foiling — lifting clear of the water surface.
Many students achieve their first foiling runs within the Beginner Course. Advanced students work on tacking, jibing and riding in all directions to full independence.

Frequently Asked
Questions
No prior experience needed at all. Wing foiling has its own technique — it does not rely on kite or surf skills. Many of our best students had never tried any wind sport before. A board sports background helps with balance but is absolutely not required.
With the Intro Lesson (2h), most students get their first short foil lifts by the end of the session. The Beginner Course (6h over 3 days) gets most students foiling consistently. The Advanced Course (10h over 5 days) brings full independence in both directions.
Premium wings from Slingshot, sized 4–7m for conditions. Beginner foilboards are large and stable — 100–130 litres. All foils are set at a safe angle for controlled lift. Equipment is replaced every season.
January through April is peak season on Koh Phangan with consistent 15–22 knot winds. March and April offer the most reliable days. We teach year-round — lighter wind months are actually ideal for absolute beginners as the forces are gentler.
