A complete 3-day course from first kite control to your first board starts.
From ground school to riding left and right
Day 1 — Power and water confidence
- Discovery Course content covered on day 1 if not previously completed
- Body drag with the board: towing it while dragging upwind and downwind
- In-water kite positioning: holding 12 o'clock during position changes
- Edge body drag: simulating the riding edge before attempting a waterstart
Day 2 — Waterstart and first rides
- Waterstart: precise kite timing, edge drive and board pop out of the water
- First rides left and right: staying upright and avoiding the power zone
- Radio helmet: real-time corrections from your instructor while riding
- Direction changes: switching left and right without losing kite control
Day 3 — Consistency and introduction to independence
- Repeated waterstart from different body positions and light-chop conditions
- Upwind angle introduction: body lean, edge pressure and kite trim
- Self-rescue practice: kite depowered, packed and floated to shore unaided
